Search Terms
A name, location, or other detail entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Lyon County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy terms govern its handling of the query and any result interaction.
Messages You Send
An email or contact-form message may be retained long enough to read it, respond, and maintain a reasonable record of the exchange. Message content is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law, court order, or another valid legal demand.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary web systems may record basic technical details when a page loads. This data helps operate, secure, and understand the site. It can include:

Some advertising partners can use their own technology to measure activity across different websites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs through the partner’s systems, not through a public-record file maintained by Lyon County Released Inmates.

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to service providers or authorities that need it for the roles listed below:

Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, a person may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal data held by the site
- Correct information that is inaccurate
- Delete personal data when erasure is available

These choices concern data controlled by this site. Records held by the Lyon County Sheriff, Kansas courts, KDOC, or another public agency must be addressed to that custodian under its rules. Kansas public-record access is governed separately by the Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-215 et seq.
